[Nfb-krafters-korner] Pine needle weaving

Lena does this kind of pine needle weaving for baskets. She says she uses
six inch needles so wasn't interested in my fur and cedar needles.  She is
also a handler of, now three labs. She is one very cool lady.

I wonder how pine needles are used for this?  Susan do you have any  idea?
Is it made with yarn and pine needles, so you don't use the cclothes  line?

Sure. The ones I make are done using clothesline and yarn. They  can also,
from what I've heard, be done with reeds of some sort though I've  never
tried that version. Also, narrow strips of cloth, stitched together, can  be
used in plaáe of the yarn, but I haven't done that. The yarn is wrapped
around the clothesline and the clothesline in turn is coiled around  inthe
process.
