Dixie,

Cindy posted the constitution as to let everyone read it. It will be
posted on the website as it was being prepared for the website. This
constitution was written up and each section was voted on in dallas at the NFB
Krafters Division first meeting in July 2008 .

I will not publicly post any membership list of this division especially on
an email list due to the privacy of the members.

This is a polling not a vote and since the majority of our paid members are
on this list, I will post the notice of the polling to this list.

You were at the meeting and heard the comment that some people due to the
flooding are without computers. That is why it was said that people should
make contact with folks that might not have computers or computer service
and I will take phone calls for the polling, also.

It was brought to my attention at the meeting the other night that I posted
it as "An Open Board Meeting" and I should have called it, "A Membership
Meeting". That is the reason why we are polling the membership at this
point. We did have a majority of the board and we did have more then 10 paid
members present which is stated in the constitution and those people voted
onon the discontinuing recordsing of classes. So due to the above
statements I have made above, Ramona Walhof [past National board member][present
board member of NFB Krafters Division] advised us to poll our members.

I hope this explains things enough.

I would like to hear about crafting now.

Cindy,

Has a membership list been published? I have not seen it. If it is not
published, then Until we have the list published there is no possible way
for anyone to know that all members have been contacted and notified about
a
pending vote.

Audrey,

The words "may be polled" does not indicate that every member has to be
contacted and vote.

Additionally, the ten days notice is for "Special meetings," we are not
conducting a meeting and that section was brought up specifically to make
sure that we give "no less" than ten days for voting to occur even though
that is not required. Also, "I" specifically placed a note asking the
membership to help us get the word out. If the membership is trying to
exclude someone, please do let me know and I will personally get in touch
with that person to make sure they vote if they so choose to use that
right.

Cindy
