Hello,

I've sent Deb and everyone else who wanted the files, the files. We should all be good. But if anyone does not receive one of the files I've sent, please let me know. I learned the hard way that I can only send one at at time.

Debbie,
I sent them to the group yesterday. Read through the posts and see if you can locate them. They were all in one post.

Hi,
Can I get a copy of these mp3 files; please. I am interested in knitting with the loom but won't be able to join this Friday night because of conflict of having something already planned.

Hello all,

I sent the mp3 files to Joseli. Have had no confirmation that she has received them yet.

Terry I like your hint about grasping the bottom loop by coming in with the hook from the side. I had been doing it from the outside and shredding the yarn.

Cindy, thanks for your posting about step by step instructions. As it happens I was wrapping the pegs the correct way (counter-clockwise) but what I hadn't understood plainly until your post was that I needed to wrap, then setthe working yarn aside and only work with the existing loops on the peg, then wrap again and repeat.
Thanks so much to all who posted.
 Now I am knitting!

Dip your tool in the crack of the peg and come under the yarn. Scoop it up with the point and I guide it over with my other hand to make sure I do not take both loops. I can only handle one stranded. Most do it with thick yarn or use 2 strands of yarn.
We have some recordings that cindy made, that might help you. If Cindy does not send them, I might not get to it until Monday. These might be helpful.
I wish someone would make a braille book, describing the stitches and cast off methods and different paterns for the flat loom, like the braille knitting book. If you do not know, a blind man, wrote a book about knitting and it is for sale.

Any tips for getting hold of that pesky yarn?

Terrence,
When you purl, you take the working yarn and lay it underneath the loop that is on the peg. Use your tool and go down from the top of the peg. Go under the loop that is on the peg and get ahold of the working yarn. Bring the working yarn up through the loop that is on the peg. You will be creating a new loop. Take the original loop off the peg and replace it with the new loop. Continue with the next peg.

Good Luck,
Cindy

Speaking of which-could someone refresh me on exactly how purling works? I was thinking it was an e-wrap with the loop of the e on the inside instead of the outside-is that right?

Thanks,
Terrence

the way around the loom. Wrap and knit, then wrap and perl. I have the same problem, some times. Hold the yarn loosely when wrapping. You do not want to be pulling on it or to have tention. Practice with just knitting until you can get a smoth wrat and knit, wrap and knit.

stitch. The pattern says to knit odd rows and pearl even ones. For some reason, when I try this, my yarn gets too tight no matter how loose I wrap it and almost always breaks. Maybe I have the pearl stitch wrong, or does the pattern actually mean to k1p1 instead of knitting one row than pearling the next? Any help would be appreciated.
