This is just my opinion. If you have been a JAWS user for a long time
and use it frequently changing to anything will take time to learn. So that
part is up to how willing you are to learn new things.

The second part of my opinion is upgrades come for JAWS usually on an
annual basis. So changes for JAWS screenreading program and the development
of this program is being addressed by Freedom Scientific all the time.

Apple put the effort into making their computers with voice over which is
fantastic, but their development teams are improving the whole computer
annually and not just concentrating on the voice over part of the machine. I
am not sure how often Apple comes out with upgrades that are a software
upgrade or if upgrades are made for newly manufactured Apple computers only.

So if the above is the case if you plan to purchase a new computer every
few years then there are your considerations.

I wish I could afford to buy one of those new Mac computers I have played
with them in Best buy. I am willing to put in the time and effort of
learning so I would have the knowledge of using both computers, but I took the
cheaper way out the beginning of this year and bought a regular PC.
