Reindeer Food
What you will need:
2 cups of oatmeal
¼ cup brown sugar (if you don't have brown sugar, you may substitute white,
however, brown is better for the reindeer.)
½ cup carrots, finely diced
2 tablespoons of cake sprinkles
Water
What to do:
Mix all the ingredients together in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Add water a bit at a time and mix with your hands. When the mixture is
crumbly, you are finished.
On Christmas Eve, spread the mixture across the front lawn for Santa's
reindeer. They will be able to have their snack while Santa is putting your
gifts
under the tree and enjoying his milk and cookies.
The oats in the recipe will give Santa's reindeer lots of energy for their
trip.

----------
In a small ziploc bag or baby food container, mix:
list of 4 items
1/4 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup sugar
sprinkle of red or green sugar crystals (for cake decorating)
OPTIONAL: You can cut a circle of cloth or felt a bit larger than the
lid. Place over the lid and tie a ribbon around it to decorate. We
actually
used Kleenex cut in a circle and tied on with wool for the top of our lid
and it turned out really nice.

(the amounts don't have to be exact)
If you use a baby food jar, you can layer the ingredients for a "sand art"
look like we did in the photo.

Here are the reindeer treats!
Great to do with your kids or friends!
You will need:
bag of mini pretzels
bag of Hershey's kisses
Holiday peanut M and M's (these are green and red only) if you can't
find them, the regular M and M's will be fine.
Unwrap as many Kisses as you plan to make Reindeer Treats or better
yet, find someone else to do this! (grin)
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F
Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper, non stick foil, or spray
with a light coating of veggie spray.
Lay the pretzels out on the cookie sheet and top each one with a kiss.
Slide into the for about 6 to 8 minutes...until the kisses soften.
You don't want them to melt, just want them to get soft enough
to allow you to put a M and M in them.
When the kisses are soft, remove from the oven and place an m and m
on top of each kiss, pushing it slightly into the kiss.
Let cool and enjoy!
Store in an air tight container!

Merry Christmas!
Dixie
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling
clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the
inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping
watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord
shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good
tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is
Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in
swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
