[Nfb-krafters-korner] Beading Needles & Magnets

One thought, be careful of the size. I think smaller and powerful is better
than big. If the whole needle is on the magnet, picking it up will be a
challenge. I have a beading mat that is about 4 by 6 and made out of sticky
silicone. Beads stick and don't roll away. It has a little groove that I
thought would be a great place to put my needle. Wrong! I almost never got a
grip on it to pick it up again. I like the sticky mat when I am beading a
project away from home, just placing it on a table works great, but I have
learned to place my needle so that part of it is hanging off the edge,
thereby giving me a handle to pick up. I suspect the same trick will work
with a magnet.

Hi Neva, what a great idea. I'm sure a piece of one of those magnetic sheets
will work great for keeping small metal objects in their place. I actually
saw a piece somewhere around my house a few days ago. Now to just find it?
