patterned scarf. 

Btw, to whoever it was who asked about the true knit stitch. It is actually
the exact opposite of a purl stitch. With the true knit stitch, the working
yarn is placed above the peg, then drawn down underneath the existing loop,
then the loop already on the peg is removed and replaced with the new loop
on your knitting tool.  With the purl stitch, the working yarn is placed
below the existing loop on the peg, then the yarn is drawn up inside the
existing loop, then the existing loop is removed from the peg and replaced
with the new loop.
