Hi Cathy,
Thank you so very much! I probably will need that hat patern from the list,
as I know I won't be able to find someone to read it.
I went and downloaded a bunch of books from BARD and Bookshare, and the ones
you mentioned were in that bunch.

. purchase a set of four different sized round looms. you can make
rectangular and square projects on round looms.  start with making a basic
stocking hat. Instructions for making a hat usually come with the looms. the
third largest loom makes an adult sized hat.  
If you need the pattern and don't have some one to read it, just let us know
here on the list. 

As for craft books there is a category on BARD for crafts, browse through
it. 

On bookshare there are some loom books just put in the word loom in the
search box.  One book I am particularly enjoying is entitled, "loom knitting
primer." Also on bookshare There are some books on jewelry making, I
currently am working on projects using a book entitled, "beading for
dummies," which has good word descriptions for making a variety of jewelry. 

>From the Braille transcribing service I have borrowed a book entitled "row
upon row," which has latch hook patterns.

Both BARD, bookshare and Braille transcribing service have books on
knitting, crochet and other crafts.
