The only adaptation to any of my machines is the electric ones and only
markings on the dial for the straight stitches and the zig-zag stitches.
I would suggest that you use a piece of notebook paper and no thread and use
the machine you have to get a feel for it. Keep your finger at the right
edge of the presser foot and practice guiding the paper under the needle.
Keeping your finger at the edge of the presser foot will let you know at all
times where the needle is and prevent you from having any accidents.
