Instead of reminding yourself of what you have lost, why not let that go and focus on the gifts you possess now.You are a talented gifted person with 
beauty from within.    All precious gifts  to be treasured. .  Your art 
work, your spoken and written words  are reflections of that beauty and a 
testimony to who you are today.    What you lost, your professorship is not 
applicable now, it is gone.  What is important is that it has given you the 
foundation and tools to go  forward and help others.    You are still a 
teacher , just teaching in a different way.  You have the power to inspire and lead others forward to a higher level of achievement and accomplishment that enriches their lives and fortifies their self-confidence.  What a true 
gift  that is! What you lost takes you from that.      I say this in love,
