Hello Charlotte, 
Glad to "meet" you. I'm Heather and I live in the Kansas City area. I'm also pretty new to the list and tend to be a lurker (sorry). I've taken knitting lessons twice when I was between jobs. It seems as though whenever I find myself without work and take a knitting class, it's no time until I find a new job and can't finish the class. It's like a good luck charm! Now, however, I am on disability (because of a myriad of health issues). I've taken up knitting again, just in the last month - grin! I also do some painting - both of craft-oriented items as well as watercolor and acrylic landscapes. I'm always interested in learning about new things to try. I've got a list going of projects I want to try from this list, when I've got a chance.

I'm Denise Shaible and I live in Carson, CA, a town near Long Beach.  It sounds like I'd like to talk with you.  I'd like to get into gemstone jewelry and soaps.  I also knit but I haven't made enough things to start selling or giving for charity.  I really want to do that, though when I get some nice yarn and patterns under my belt.  Welcome to the list.  I know you'll enjoy the talk, classes, and chats.  Believe me, we talk about all kinds of things but, we always come back to crafting.  Again, welcome.
