[Nfb-krafters-korner] Question about knitting needles and flying

No idea. I just know I lost my needles if Frankfurt because theyw ere
straight ones. Sooooo, I never intend to lose them again. and, flying as a
blind person is not a very nice thing to do anyway if you are alone - they
can be so nasty to you that you think you are a criminal - and you are
treated as one, too. So I take no chances on anything that even remotely
might cause me a problem any more. I'll be leaving for puerto rico shortly
with my circular needles. No problems!

Okay, dumb question - why are the circular ones okay but the other ones
aren't? I'm using circular ones anyway, but geesh, if you really wanted to
do something rotten, I'd think it could be accompished either way.
Hmmmm..grin!

Take ONLY circular needles to be sure they don't get taken away from you!
And, I take a letter opener instead of scissor to be sure I don't lose my
scissor, too.
I knit everywhere I travel - the only place I had any trouble with knitting
needles was in Frankfort, GR. but I do not take any chances - I use
circulars because I know there will be no problems. Lynda

I've taken up knitting just in the last month (as mentioned in the last
post.) I'm about to leave again for another month on the road. I'll be
spending a lot of time in airplanes and airports and want to take my
knitting with me. Will TSA give me any hassle about the needles?
