Hi Debbie,

I am so pleased to be able to help you to both learn a new craft and to also
help you to renew your interest in another one. since joining Krafter's
Korner I have learned two new crafts and the best way I feel I can show my
appreciation is to give back to this group by sharing what I know. thus the
crochet and latch hook classes.

Of course you will learn to crochet! As for your comment on the tension
between the stitches and having difficulty with that, that is a very common
problem for the newbie at crochet. Blind and sighted alike. It takes
practice, becoming comfortable with the motion of using a crochet hook. I
bet when you first began to latch hook, you dropped yarn and didn't get the
yarn ends equal when securing the knot right away. It took practice. So, you
will learn and practice and soon you will be pleasantly surprised at how
easy it is and wonder why you had so much trouble!
I am saying this to myself as I try to use a Tunisian crochet hook for the
first time! <smile>

I am glad you have your supplies. I am going to order mine tonight as soon
as I here from my sister about what color rug binding I should get. (rug
binding is optional, it gives a finished look to the project.) I will post
the color to purchase as soon as I know in case anyone wants to purchase it
as well.

Cathy

Hi Cathy,
I ordered my kit & hook today from knitting-warehouse.com. I also bought my
crochet hook & more thick quick yarn for the learning to crochet class. I
hope that I can learn to crocheyt this time. My Mom tried teaching to
crochet & I couldn't get the tension the same on the stitches. This will see

if I can get the hang of it this time. I am going to need a refrsher on how
to latch hook seeing it has been so long & I forget how. I am excited to be
able to do this craft again.

Debbie
