[Nfb-krafters-korner] Sewing Class

Great advice Henrietta. Thank yo for the reminder that we have changed, but
that it is GOOD, too. I am certainly not the person I was four years ago
before my sight loss in many ways. There are things that were taken away
from me, and not by my choice - my professional job that I had gone to
universities for 9 years, full time, to earn three degrees. It was gone in a
moment. For those of us who have lost eyesight in the middle of our careers,
we lose everything we have spent our life working for - and yes, we have
times when we are angry about it. I should say, damn mad, about it.

And, then, I know in my inner being that nothing happens to me by chance.
Nothing in my life is random. It is all a part of who I am. I have changed.
My life has changed. And, it was up to me to make the change into something
that is GOOD. We all decide at some point to lay down the anger, lay down
the pity for ourself, and to move forward into the changed life and make it
a very good life.

You are doing that Jewell! We all do that. I have been on this list for
nearly 2 years, I think. Here, I found others like me who have embraced the
changes we have faced, and we have overcome our fears, anger, and continued
on to build our lives anew.

I now can say that all change is good change. There is not any change that
happens in my life that is not good, in the end. All of it. Life is about
constant change, it is our nature to change, and it is our NORMAL.
