[Nfb-krafters-korner] seed stitch

I have the same problem, Neva. I have tried to make the "Reader's Shawl"
several times - it has a seed stitch border all around it. I have had to
tear it out completely a couple of times after I had gone a long way - as in
on the second skein of yarn! I got so disgusted I quit trying. It is on
small needles with fingering weight yarn - and I cannot feel it and I get
confused and there are just waaaay too many stitches to even try counting
all the time. So I give up. If someone knows HOW to overcome this problem so
I could actually do the seed stitch successfully, I would love to hear it.
But for now, I consider it something I just cannot do and once you make a
mistake on it, it is so apparent - it sticks out but I normally don't know
it for a long time and then I have to rip it all out and start again -
ugh!Lynda
