[Nfb-krafters-korner] Knitting Looms

Hi everyone. I've been reading parts of topics here and it's gotten me
thinking. I've had both the round looms and the long skinny ones with the
two rows of pegs, (I think those are called rake knitters), but never really
understood what the point of them was. Now that I'm reading about people
creating booties and other things with them, my interest has been peaked. I
see a few different loom knitting books on Bookshare, and think I may grab
them. My question is, what would be a good loom to start with? There's a kit
that I'm reading about on Amazon that says it has thirty different
configurations, and the description says:

Would this be something worth considering or would I be better off with a
couple of those plastic sets that have four different sizes of looms, both
in the straight and circle configurations. It's really warm here right now
and the afghan that I'm currently working on is just too hot to have on my
lap, but I want to have something to do while reading, so I thought this
might be a great alternative. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!
