I don't remember what the cost was, but I included the link so that people
could go directly to the product page. It sounds good, but I know very
little about this area, so I'd rather take someone else's word over what I
think sounds good in this situation.

Did you see a cost for this? Tonya, what do you think? I kind of would be
fearful of removeable pegs. She is one of the pro's at this! I am looking
for a larger loom, myself

Hi everyone. I've been reading parts of topics here and it's gotten me
thinking. I've had both the round looms and the long skinny ones with the
two rows of pegs, (I think those are called rake knitters), but never really
understood what the point of them was. Now that I'm reading about people
creating booties and other things with them, my interest has been peaked. I
see a few different loom knitting books on Bookshare, and think I may grab
them. My question is, what would be a good loom to start with? There's a kit
that I'm reading about on Amazon that says it has thirty different
configurations, and the description says:
Compact enough to take anywhere, the adjustable knit and weave loom kit
makes knitting and weaving easy for both beginners and pros; use the
included instructions to create scarves, hats, blankets, and crafts, or
explore other possibilities on your own; 30+ configurations including
weaving loom, rake loom, rosette loom, round loom plus more; weight:
2.9-pound; each kit measures approximately 14 by 7-1/4 by 2-inch;
instructions and 3 project patterns included (instruction booklet is
trilingual- english, spanish and french); knit and weave loom includes: (2)
36-hole straight pieces, (2) 2-hole semi-circle pieces, (4) 12-hole straight
pieces, (2) 10-hole u-shaped pieces, (4) 6-hole straight pieces, (4) 6-hole
corner pieces, 206 small-gauge pegs, 104 large-gauge pegs, knitting tool,
weaving tool, crochet hook, small and large yarn needles, instruction
booklet.

Would this be something worth considering or would I be better off with a
couple of those plastic sets that have four different sizes of looms, both
in the straight and circle configurations. It's really warm here right now
and the afghan that I'm currently working on is just too hot to have on my
lap, but I want to have something to do while reading, so I thought this
might be a great alternative. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!
Caroline
