I would just use a dry measuring cup for this. It is not something that
needs to be so precise as to require a weight and the measuring cups are
readily available. You can probably get one on its own at a thrift store, or
by the set and use the rest as scoops in the kitchen.

You may also want to consider a container that would let you dip in and
scoop out the soap rather than having to pour. I also just noticed at
someone else's house that apparently some of the liquid detergents now come
with a spicket like you find on a drink dispenser. I thought it seemed very
handy 	for dispensing the liquid. I would tether a measuring cup to such a
dispenser just to make it easy to find because obviously things like that
just moe around on there own. At least according to my family who never move
anything without remembering to put it right back. :)

Sorry this is off topic, yet in a way it may not be especially when making
soaps, having just made Lynda's liquid laundry soap, I'm trying to find a
way to measure the soap with no sight and not using a liquid indicator since
I cannot hear the beeps.
I still have some sight but want to start getting in the habit of doing so
without sight before my vision gets worst, would appreciate any feedback
from you all.
