[Nfb-krafters-korner] OT: Measuring liquids

In my opinion, there is no real perfectly clean way to do it. I pour the bottle into the cap, over my sink, and then cary the cap to my washer. This way if it overflows, it will spill in the sink, but still can spill, while walking to the londry room. When I put the cap back on the bottle, it drips, some so I have a plate under the bottle.
If you use a bottle with a spout, it can drip and I am worning you, they are heavy! You would have to keep a tray or something washable under it to catch drippings from the bottle and when you fill the cup.
My friend wants me to try individual packs of liquid soap. She got some for a trip, she is going on and will give me to try. I can get them in bulk if they work.
I hate messy soap!

I would just use a dry measuring cup for this. It is not something that needs to be so precise as to require a weight and the measuring cups are readily available. You can probably get one on its own at a thrift store, or by the set and use the rest as scoops in the kitchen.

You may also want to consider a container that would let you dip in and scoop out the soap rather than having to pour. I also just noticed at someone else's house that apparently some of the liquid detergents now come with a spicket like you find on a drink dispenser. I thought it seemed very
handy for dispensing the liquid. I would tether a measuring cup to such a
dispenser just to make it easy to find because obviously things like that just moe around on there own. At least according to my family who never move anything without remembering to put it right back. :)

Sorry this is off topic, yet in a way it may not be especially when making soaps, having just made Lynda's liquid laundry soap, I'm trying to find a way to measure the soap with no sight and not using a liquid indicator since I cannot hear the beeps.
I still have some sight but want to start getting in the habit of doing so without sight before my vision gets worst, would appreciate any feedback from you all.
Feel free to email me off list at barbwire59 at gmail.com thanks, Barb _______________________________________________
