Ah, Charlotte!
You are so right. When I attended my first gem show, I was so
overwhelmed,
I had to take some breaks to sit a spell just to catch my breath. That
was
about 10 years ago. Since then, I have figured out how to shop at a gem
show
so I am more under control. Now, I go with a certain theme or kind of
stones
I am searching for, and keep my focus on my goals.

The other thing I now realize that I did not 10 years ago is the power of
the stones themselves. When you walk into that show, you are walking into
pure energy - thousands of points of energy, and looking back I now
realize
that was why my first couple of shows were so overpowering. Gem Stones
have
energy and power and after doing lots of research on them and reading
books
such as _The Crystal Bible_ and _The Crystal Code_ and others, I now
understand much better. Now, my stones are selected for healing powers and
I
make talismans and healing arts jewelry exclusively. It is so exciting to
make special items for my clients - I know I am helping them to feel
better
and to have what they need. I just finished an amazing Hematite set for
one
of them, and another gorgeous set from Mother of Pearl for a friend. Makes
me so happy to know I am helping them.

It is always ever new and ever exciting to go to a gem show.

We have a couple of fantastic shows that come to Pittsburgh (PA) a couple
times a year - and they are by _invitation only_ and that is where I shop
for my stones. We also have the famous _Appalachian Rock Shop_ jsut about
8
miles from my home, where I can go and touch stones and crystals at any
time - oh, what a glorious selection of things beautiful. Also, the
Carnegie
Museum of Art hosts a fabulous gem show every year, too. Sigh! I am
drooling as I think of them.

Happy hunting at your next Gem Show.
