[Nfb-krafters-korner] jewelry-making, about findings

When the lobster claw is open or lever open, another loop fits inside it, from the other side of the item. Then you release the lever and it closes and holds it closed.

Hello Dixie,

Thanks for your help. I am getting there!

It does not appear that I have any toggle clasps in my package. However, the lobster claw has now been identified and it does work as you describe. Now with the lobster claw, you have that on one end of the necklace, but what is on the other end? Perhaps a flat loop, or would I use another lobster claw for the other side?

The clasp I described as shaped like a D also has a little thing to pull back to open it, so however the lobster clasp works, I suppose this one would be the same?

Did you see my post on the coil with the cap to take off on the end? Can you identify that one now? Perhaps "coil" was not a good description, perhaps tube-like. I would guess that this one is unscrewed and one piece placed on each end of the jewelry.

Thanks,

Cathy
