Henrietta, you sure made my morning! I loved reading of your vacation
adventure. You are so right, a vacation is something we have inside of us no
matter where we are or what circumstances we are in at the time. It is a
quiet place, of solitude, that does not depend on anything outside of us.
This is beautiful when we have those moments to realize it, isn't it! I
guess you just gave me a new topic for my blog...I will think about it some
more and write a new blog today or tomorrow.

I brought all my beading stuff in from the studio. My studio does not have
AC so it was 105 in there yesterday and the dew point was so high you could
barely breathe. OK, change of plans!

I will be leaving on my ART CAMP experience in 8 more days so I am working
of figuring out just what to take along to work on there.

I have a encrusted beadwork picture I am working on currently. It is
probably over 1/2 done. I will try to finish it up this week before I go, so
I can work on something new while I am there. I am cutting out the
templates for some new Talisman Necklaces - and that is what I hope to work
on there. I want to do one with Green Opals, Tree Agate, and Lapis Lazuli
gem stone; Japanese Seed Beads in brilliant colors of Rainbow Transparent
Emerald Green; Rainbow Transparent Purple; Swarovski Palace Green Opal
Bicones and Rounds. I will do the necklace part using chiips and seed beads
in a vertical spiral, and then work a talisman medallion out of the
gemstones and other materials. LUSCIOUS, in my mind!

Then for another one, I bought Honey Wax Opal Chips, and plan to do a
vertical spiral necklace and a talisman medallion with them, and put in some
cultured pearls (vintage) along with Fresh water pearls, and Japanese seed
beads. Oh La LA!

I guess those two porjects are more than enough to occupy me during Art
Camp! I do have another large piece that is nearly finished - it is a major
piece of art - I call it _The Dragon's Treasure_ and it is unwearable ART
but is really a sculpture that will be displayed in a plexiglas box. I did
not PLAN for it to be unwearable, but since I was very new at doing this
kind of work I did not know it would not be wearable till it was way too
late to make any changes. So, it is now a sculpture, once I finish it. It
will be a great piece to put in an art exhibition though.

Fixing your capri pants sounded so nice. Doesn't it feel good to re purpose
things so we can enjoy them! I love it. My problem is that my weight goes
up and down so often. I no sooner get rid of my "small" clothes, than I
workout and eat right, and would have been able to use them again. I just
bought a lot of new clothes before I left for Puerto Rico because nothing
fit me so I had to buy bigger things. NOW, I am working out every day,
eating nutritious foods and no junk foods or sugar, and my body is slimming
down again...and guess what, my new bigger clothes are now getting big on
me! Sheesh!

Keep on enjoying your vacation - it is a mind set. Lynda
