Hello all,

A couple people have expressed interest in the player I am getting for my
birthday, so I am posting info to the list.

It is like the NLS player in that you can play books on it using a
cartridge. But this player is literally pocket-sized and it can play a wide
range of file types including the NLS books, daisy .brf, .txt. doc, .docx
and others. It will play .mp3 and .wav files in stereo. You can record notes
on it. there are similar players out there such as the Victor reader which
you may already be familiar with. But this one is on sale now and I listened
to a podcast introduction on it and was impressed, so this is the player I
chose. I can hardly wait to download some books from bookshare and transfer
the patterns from my computer to the player so I can take them with me.

Here is a description of the features from the manufacturer and contact
information for anyone interested.
