Terry,

It is confusing, and I will try to sort things out.
There are a number of yarn lines and each line has something similar in it
to create the "line." But the individual yarns in a line also will have
different qualities. Sometimes the yarns in the same "line" will have most
or at least some of the same colors. The idea is that you can choose a line
and know that all of the colors in that line will compliment one another.

For example, there is a T and Q line of yarns. They all have being a 6-ply
yarn in common and have a color pallet in common. however, this line comes
in different fabrics.

then, there is another line called Jiffy . all the yarn in this line is 100%
acrylic and a color pallet of mountain hues. This line comes in different
weights.

So while Thick and Quick has the 6-ply as a common denominator, Jiffy has a
color pallet and fabric content yarn in common.

To complicate matters, Jiffy is both named as a line and as a weight
category 5 under the T and Q line.

So more specifically:

There are a number of T and Q yarn lines. One is wool-ease T and Q, another
is Jiffy T and Q, a third is Chenille, T and Q, (which has been
discontinued), a fourth is cotton, T and Q, and now a new fifth one is
homespun T and Q.

Then there is a Jiffy line with a 5-ply bulky yarn called Jiffy, and a 6-ply
yarn called Jiffy T and Q.

To expand this, there is the wool-ease line, the homespun line, the Jamie
line and so forth.

You may have used the Jiffy 5-ply, last year, not the Jiffy T and Q (same
line different weight, same color.).

As I teach, I learn.
I never really had this all sorted out till I needed to explain it. so now
we all know more, perhaps more than we wanted to know?
BTW, if anyone out there notices that I have made any errors in this
explanation please let me and all of us know, I am becoming a bit tangled up
in yarn after all of this explaining!
Cathy
