[Nfb-krafters-korner] Slipping the first stitch - WAS: knitting

I've used the edging for both pieces that are to be sewn together and those
that are not. Sometimes it depends on the yarn itself, because a straight
knit stitch in some yarns has a tendency to leave a sort of thick edge. To
me, that makes it at times difficult to sew together smoothly. That is when
you have to make sure you are not sewing your pieces too tight together.
You want them to still have the smooth flow of being slightly elastic like
other areas of your knitting.
