Loom (US) Needle Size
Large gauge, 5/8 to 11/16 inch between pegs, 13 (7.5mm) needles Regular gauge or half gauge , ½ inch between pegs, 10 (6.0mm) needles Small gauge, ¼ to 3/8 inch between pegs, 7 (4.5mm) to 8 (5.0mm) needles Extra small gauge, 3/8 inch between pegs Fine gauge, ¼ inch between pegs, 5 (3.5mm) to 6 (4.0mm) needles Extra fine gauge, 3/16 inch between pegs, 1 (2.5mm) to 2 (3.0mm) needles
