Debbie, wow! You are busy for sure! I bet your watering can flower
arrangement was beautiful! I was out in the garden this afternoon. I am at
battle with cabbage worms which are attacking my collard greens, they are
like kale. The leaves look more like swiss cheese! Good luck with your
container gardening. It sounds like they are doing great so far!

Hi,
I made a watering can from Ken & Theresa class of safety pins & beads. I put
a foam in the center of the opening & filled it with a silk flower bush
which I cut into an arrangement. It came out real pretty. I gave it to my
Mom for Mother's day. She loved it. I finished my cobra braclet. I want to
make a coker necklace. I just finished my cable hat knitted on a Ciny Wood
round loom. It cam out real nice. I would like to do a scarf to match it.
I also have a garden going on my porch in pots. I have Echinaesa flowers. I
have 3 cherry tomato plants which have green tomatoes, 2 bush bean plants
which have beans started. I have 2 cucumber plants which have flowers on
them. I have a lettuce plant which I have picked some leaves which taste
good. I am trying broccoli & we will see how will it does. I am also trying
either small watermelon or snap peas. I do not which one it is. We will se
how this does & what it is once it has something on it.
Debbie

Hi,
I thought I would throw out the question What is new? I mean what is the
new projects everyone is working on. Have you discovered a new trend in
crafting? Did you find a unique item at a recent craft fair? Please share
it with us all! I believe that burlap is becoming popular for home décor.
Has anyone made something using burlap? I made a burlap wreath and adorned
it with summer silk flowers as a wedding gift. Over the weekend I made a
memorial flower arrangement for my best friends daughters grave. My friend
lost her daughter 11 years ago when the little girl was only 3. Each year
she and I try to make special arrangements for her little angel Kali. This
year I also covered the Styrofoam with burlap and used greenery and small
pink silk flowers to decorate the piece. This is a sad but fulfilling craft
for me. I also made arrangements for my parents grave in May. It is my
way to show my honor and love to them still. Does anyone else work with
silk flowers?
