oh, I am thrilled that you were able to make eggs to your satisfaction. I never did make one myself, so you are way ahead of me. <smile>

as for what to do with the eggs, my thought had been to make a basket for them and place them on a table as an Easter decoration. Lisamaria did this and said it turned out quite nicely. I have a basket pattern if you would like it. 
the idea of making it as a toy for an infant sounds good too.

don't think I'd want to give it to my dog, not just because of the drool, but because it could get stuck in her throat. but it would probably be a wonderful cat toy. I can just picture my two cats batting an egg around on the kitchen floor.
