I feel badly for this young lady.
Makes me wonder if people propose just to be proposing, or they get married 
just to plan a wedding.
Good points made by everyone.
I still think that was not good for him to propose and then later call it 
off.
On the otherhand, he could have stood her up at the altar.

She is a very lucky "bride." Just think of the ones who get married to
someone who did not really want to be married to them, and then spend years
going through all kinds of sorrows. The man here is to be commended for
having the courage to speak up and really tell her the truth, that he does
not want to marry her. Far better than going through a marriage when the
heart is not there. It takes tremendous courage to be truthful when someone
else has made plans for your life and has expectations for you that are
really not yours.
