Cathy,
I am still working on my shawl as well.  I had to put it aside for a short
while.  I promised a friend to knit a hat and scarf set  to be auctioned at
a vision rehabilitation therapy conference.  I just finished them today.  I
made the figure 8 scarf that Henry taught last year at this time.  The hat I
chose was the " everyday beret" by Renee Van Hoy.  It turned out very cute.
It is not too difficult either.  I made it with worsted weight yarn because
the pattern said that it would show the spiral design in the hat better.  It
is more of a fashion piece than for warmth.  Thanks to you for introducing
us all to Renee and her Fabulous patterns!

Hello all,

 

I thought it was time to update my friends on all my projects lately and how
I am doing on them.

 

My newest project is filling an order I received for twelve
bracelet/necklace sets of various colors. The woman wants to give them as
gifts. I just got the beads in and have two sets completed. 

I just completed the basic hat on circular needles and am happy to report
that it came out fine and I now feel confident enough to try again to make
the mittens on circulars that I tried to make last spring.

My loom knit shawl is coming along slowly because I keep finding errors and
must tink and reknit it. but when I am done it will not only be perfect but
beautiful.

 

I am trying once again to make the peyote coin purse. For some reason I am
struggling with it once again and still don't know if I will succeed with
it.

 

Well, I'd better get busy, talk with you all later.

 

I would be interested in hearing about your latest projects if you have not
already told me about them.
