Hi Lucy,

I can help a bit with your questions. A knitting board is another type
of loom used for knitting; it's also called a long loom. It has two
straight rows of pegs facing each other and you can make double
knitted fabric using the two rows. However, you can do single knitting
as well by just using only one side of the loom. Cathy will probably
have a better description. :). As for the colors of the looms, all the
manufacturers use different colors for their looms. I do know the
colors for the knifty knitters:
yellow round - 41 pegs
green round - 36 pegs
red round - 31 pegs
blue round - 24 pegs
purple round - 48 pegs

Knifty knitter long looms/knitting boards:
blue long - 62 pegs
green long - 50 pegs
yellow long - 38 pegs
pink long - 26 pegs
