Thanks for that twisting the stitches tip. Isn't amazing all of the simple

This is how my pattern has me work them. Also, when it is time to work the
thumb stitches, which have been hanging out on a holder or waste yarn, you
twist the stitches that you either cast on or picked up for the extra
stitches and this helps to close up the wholes.
