Hi,

I can tell you about the most important ones, the button on top is the on
and off button, just hold it down and you will hear the beep when it has
been on for a while it will turn itself off, of or you can hold it
down until you hear another beep and that turns it off. The button on the
bottom is the identifier, put the unit in the middle of a tag and hold the
button it until a beep, say what you want, like, blue yarn and release. Then
you can go back to that tag and touch the unit to the tag and it will read
it.
Sure hope this makes since and helps.

                            Blessings, Beverly
