Do either of you still have the box that it came in?  Inside the box are 4 stickers on the packaging.  Turn on the Penfriend and hold it up to those stickers.  It will read the directions to you.

At the top or larger end of the pen you will find the power button.  Hold it down until you hear a beep.  The second button is volume up and down.  Third is the mode. It switches between (1 beep) record setting, (2 beeps ) print setting, (3 beeps) MP3 setting.  Last button is the record button.

Does anyone have a pen friend?  Can you please refresh me one what each button does.  I have one and now Henry has one and we want to use the device for making labels for our yarn collection.

There do not seam to be any directions.
