I don't think you can.  When you tutch the label, and talk, it records.
I will do a test and see if my pen will read a label, made with Henry's, yesterday.  This will solve the question.

Is the recording saved on the machine or the label?  I am thinking on  the pen itself.  If it is saved on the pen, then you would need to use 1  label, but record it on both pens.
