Jeanette,

You do not have to wait until a class is offered to have your questions
answered. Whenever you have a question, post it to the list. Sometimes one
or more people will respond, and other times it will be the spark that
ignites a great conversation here on the list. Some of us hold on to
responses from previous times when others have asked the same question and
we will forward it on. If no one knows the answer, there are a number of
people on the list who will do some research and find an answer for you. If
no one knows the answer to your question, this is a great group to put our
heads together and brainstorm. If you want to do it, we will find a way.

So many people on this list are so passionate about their crafts, they might
even be willing to set up a time to talk to you over the phone one-on-one to
help you out.

HTH,
Annette

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Introducing Myself, and more

Hi. I am Jeanette Kutash, from Quincy, Massachusetts. I joined this
summer; I am still trying to figure out how to get started. I do some
knitting, but am looking for good knitting books in accessible formats that
explain things like fixing mistakes, putting projects together, knitting
stitches, patterns, picking up stitches for sleeves and necks, etc. My
instructor locally has never felt that someone without any vision can do
these things, so I have been paying ridiculous amounts if I ant to finish a
project. I guess I misunderstood. While I look forward to taking classes,
I was hoping that there would be a way to get recording for classes we could
not get into, or classes that were offered that might help us. I will be
checking the website soon for more options.

Jeanette
