[Nfb-krafters-korner] to the loom users

It was suggested to me by Cindy Wood Crafts when using worstered weight  
yarn to either use a double strand or wrap 3 times and pull one over 2  
strands?
 
First question:
You do go around the loom totally 3 times wrapping before you put one over  
2 strands?
 
2.  Which of these two ways do you think comes out better and  why?
 
3.  If you pulled one strand from middle and one strand from outside  and 
say the yarn is self striping or varigated does this work out OK or is it a  
mess?
