Thanks for the encouragement Annette!  I have found if I wrap the working 
yarn around my neck I don't lose track of the  working yarn plus it's 
improved my tension.  Next week I'll learn how to finish my hat and bind 
off.  It's kind of fun and I'm glad I decided to learn.  Anyone have a very 
basic pattern for a baby blanket?  I want to make one for my new niece or 
nephew arriving in  July.
