Hello Michelle,

Welcome to the list.
I love to loom knit! We have a good number of loom knitters here on this
list and usually have quite a few class offerings during the year to teach
loom knitting projects.

Ok, how to wrap the pegs:
Attach your yarn end to the holding peg which is on the outside edge of the
loom. Use a slip knot to do this and leave a six inch tail. Then you can
begin to move around the loom in the direction of your choice. Right-handed
people usually go clockwise while left-handed people find it easier to go
counter-clockwise.

So take your yarn and bring it from the outside straight into the inside of
your loom. Move to the first peg in the direction of your choice. Take the
yarn behind that first peg and then around it and to the front, moving
between pegs one and two. Continue moving your yarn in front of the first
peg and back around it to the inside of the loom and behind that first peg
once again.
You have now wrapped your first peg. Make certain that your yarn on the
first peg is at the bottom of the peg and that it is wrapped loosely. (I
can't stress the word loosely enough.) The tendency of a new loomer is to
wrap it tight and this will create a problem for you when you are ready to
begin knitting.

Ok, so you have completely gone around peg one and are ready for your next
wrap. This wrap is called the "EWrap," by the way because it looks like the
cursive letter E. so now go behind peg two, then around to the front by
going between pegs two and three. Continue around the front of peg two and
then back to the inside moving between pegs one and two. You are now back on
the inside of your loom behind peg two and are ready to make your third
wrap. Continue around the loom in this manner till all of your pegs are
wrapped.
The way to think of this is that you move around the loom in one direct and
wrap your pegs in the opposite direction.

Hope this helps. If not, feel free to post more questions.
