[Nfb-krafters-korner] Learning to braille patterns

Hi all,
 
I am learning to braille.  Ok, well, at least I am trying to learn to
braille.  Hahaha!  I want to braille some of my knitting patterns to be able
to carry them with me.
 
I have a couple of format questions.
 
1.        What is the braille symbol for the asterisk?
2.         When brailling K2, for Knit 2 would that be brailled as:  K
number sign 2, with no spaces between the K and the number sign?
3.         When brailling an abbreviation like PSSO is that just brailled as
it is written in print?
4.         Are there any other braille rules for writing a pattern I am not
thinking of, or aware of?
