Hi Portia,

<sigh> the topic of color is not an easy one. Lime green is a specific color
but it can be a florescent green or a pastel green and still be lime green.
It can have a yellow or a blue halo to it and still be lime green. In
general yellow or a blue would work because they are a combination of green,
but the shade of blue or yellow needs to match that shade of green in tone
and also have the same halo color. Brown goes with green because they are
the colors of nature. But there are cool and warm shades of brown and one
might look better with your green than the other. Black and white go with
anything as well, but even white comes with halos of other colors in it.
<sigh again.) Unfortunately the only real way to ensure that you have a
good match is to bring your lime green yarn to the store and ask someone to
help you choose a color to match your yarn specifically. btw, some sighted
folks have no clue how to match colors, so beware! One more hint is that if
you know exactly what brand and colorway of yarn you have, it is more likely
that you will find a good match in the same brand and colorway.

Attached is a file that Joyce sent me awhile back. It has a table listing
what colors go with what in Redheart super saver yarn.
