Congratulations, Laurie on your new machine! Laurie, if you have an old
cotton blouse or pants you are about to throw away, cut some squares and
rectangles for practicing on yhour machine. For a very straight line, fold
a piece of fabric in half and sew along the fold. Then practice sewing the
edges together. If your machine came with a seam guide that screws into the
table part of your machine too right of the pressor foot, that is a great
guide. If you do not have one, and there are holes there, then you probably
can find one at a sewing machine shop. If there are no holes, use tape or
tape on a card in the proper position. You also can turn under a hem to
practice guiding. Try hemming something for your cat's bed. Your cat is
not judgmental. If you have questions, don't be shy.
Lindey' suggestions are terific.
Ramona

Hi,

I got myself one of those K Mart specials for my birthday so I hope that now
someone can help me figure out stuff. The first thing is that there is
thread on 3 different kinds of thingies. Spools, cone-looking things and
bobbins (I think). When do you use which type of thread-holder? How do you
label the colors? (I know how to label the spools but not the bobbins or
cones. I am hoping someone in our craft group can show me how to use it but
I'll have to get some cloth first.

Thanks

Lauren

Blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ "Then Peter said unto them
repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost," (Acts,
2:38.)
