Good Questions Ramona!  I know with strips of fabric that I use with Locker Hooking and rug making I was taught you could put the two ends together (the end of the old and the beginning of the new) fold them over about 1" and make a slit in the center at the fold.  Unfold and put the end of the new strip through the slit you made keeping the two pieces together.  Pull to form a knot.

I am thinking you cut plastic bags into strips 2 or 3 inches wide and try too make the entire bag into one strip.  Is this right?  Then to you tie the end to the beginning of the next bag?  Or is there a better way, like overlapping the ends?  Can you mix the plarn with real yarn in order to get some color?  Is it desirable to twist the plastic strips or just let them
squash into a small, narrow strip?   Either yarn and plarn together or
alternating?

Is there a recording or posting of how to make plarn? I wonder how you cut something as thin as plastic grocery bags? I have a ton of them so it would be good to know how to make things out of them.
