I use some small rings which are not advertised as stitch holders and they are, as a guess, about the diameter of my space bar. They are closed rings and come in bags of at least 20. I also use them to crochet tiny wreaths which can be worn as pins. I don't know what the name of these rings is truly known as but they are in the notions stuff in all the craft shops.

Sandra, if you send me your address, I will just stick a couple in an envelope for you. They may not be what you are looking for but, if you see
them, you wil know for sure.

Sandra, I have stitch holders, but mostly use safety pins of different sizes.

Thanks for everyone's feedback--keep the ideas coming. Looking for a hard plastic ring, nothing rubbery--like the way the thicker, older-model ring markers used to flip easily from one needle to the other... I guess I'm outnumbered, judging from the reviews I've seen on other sites--everyone else prefers the new, thinner ones or the soft ones.

Hi, everyone!

Coming out of a really frustrating search, finally ready to invite some of you to help, if you can!

Who knew that a simple stitch marker (just the plain round ring, no split or
anything) would be so hard to find! Due to mild neurological challenges in the fine-motor dept., I?m looking for the nice, thick ones; all the ones I?ve either seen at AC Moore or online seem to be extremely thin, or too soft. I need all sizes?small, medium and jumbo, since my knitting needles run the gamut from 3 to 11. If you have any ideas for me, do send them along! Hoping maybe I can find some good gently-used ones, even... Thanks!

Hi sandra;
this may sound like a goofey idea,but would the plastic rings that come on milk or juice bottles work? They seem to be of amedium gauge thickness,and should fit over your larger sized needles.
Hope this helps.

How about the small rubber bands used for the rainbow loom. Also, the alastic loops for your hair, also come in mini ones for little kids or if someone has 2 pony tails.
People even use twist ties. There are many options.

Most definitely we are doing better then last year. We have had a lot of new folks joining the list. We also have new folks and brand new folks wanting to teach classes that have become paid members.

We have a great start this year.

We are also doing fantastic on classes.

I promise I won't start jumping up and down and giving the pep talks on beating last year's number of classes. I am convinced we will beat last years numbers!

We sure would like to hear many new members KK has added in the last few months. It is so great to hear the new members shouting out, from Emily, Courtney, Linda, and others. I would enjoy knowing the update from last year. Has it gone up in membership or lower. So many different interests and crafts, this is going to be a great year here.
