[Nfb-krafters-korner] Class Ideas

Lucy,

These are good ideas. I believe some have already been taught but, as Joyce said at the meeting, there's no harm in repeating classes.

I'd like to suggest a needle knitting project or two. The first one is a bracelet cuff with beads on it. The next one is a needle knitted granny square blanket for a baby or adult.

IN addition, I see that there's a class on different stitches for needle knitting and I've signed up for the basket weave stitch class. I can teach the broken rib stitch or if someone else wants to teach it, they can do it. It's easy and looks nice. I'm doing a dish towel and cloth set in it right now.

I'd also like to see some new pony bead and/or safety pin beading classes. It doesn't seem like we've had any projects in these crafts lately and although safety pin beading is challenging, it's fun.

Regards,

Denise

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Class Ideas

Hi everyone,

Recently Joyce asked for ideas on classes people would be interested in taking and I put together a few ideas.

With Mother’s Day coming up, maybe a class on soap making would be nice.

Also, learning basket making could be a fun craft that could be used throughout the year.

Pony bead projects are always fun and they are easy too.

A stitch counter bracelet would be helpful for many of us to use in our yarn projects.

For the loomers, how about a blanket or afghan class.

I just returned Tuesday night from the NFB of New York’s legislative efforts in Albany, so I wasn’t able to make the membership meeting. I hope the meeting was productive and I look forward to hearing more about the decisions made.

Take care,

Lucy
