No, it's not done by email.  They'll send you the course material with braille books and a digital cartridge.  There should also be information regarding your instructor's name and contact information in braille as well as mailing labels with the instructor's name and address to stick on your envelopes when you mail your lessons to Hadley.  You have to supply your envelopes.  Good luck.

 class by e-mail?  Aren't they testing you for correct
 contractions!

 this course now and have reached the final lesson which is
 lesson 6. I hope you will enjoy the course. Some of it is
 easy and some is difficult. There are so many new rules and
 punctuation signs. But don't worry, the instructors at
