Henry, I asked them to keep my settings and they did. Not perfectly, but we
got it figured out through my speech package. So, if you tell them how the
computer has special setting for contrast, for working with the speech, they
are pretty good 90 percent of the time.

HI Terry K., I don't suggest that you go to your ccomputer repair store,
they may set your computer back to the original factory settings and then
you will really be in a pickle.
Can you go through your agency for the blind? They might be able to set you
up with a computer tech that is familiar with jaws or what ever speech
package you have.
Terry and I have a couple of computer techs that we work with.
Lastly, like Beckie said, a box of candy or even a bottle of wine or  a 6
pack of beer doesn't hurt either.

Terry, Kevin and I have had good luck with the local computer fix guys. So
try your friendly neighborhood techs.Ours is called G. S. Computers. Buy
them a pizza and you will get even better service, grin. Heck at one point
they came to my home, I was in such a pickle. A jar of candy and the tech
just charging a home visit fee, not the hours fee he should have charged.
They are really good guys and gals.

Oh and watch them light up when your speech comes on, giggle.

Well I am posting to list because I am hoping some of you could understand
my situation and others could delete. Today is Wednesday, have not heard a
word from MS since Sunday. I am beginning to believe I have been left to my
own on this and nothing I can do. Just so frustrating.
