I feel your pain, Joyce.

We don't have to worry about surgeries  for my father any more because his
lungs are to bad for him to be put under.

Oh the joy, though, as I will be starting insulin (or whenever they figure
out  that I need needles to actually inject the insulin).

I am back, but will take a few days off.  I went in for the surgery and my
blood sugar was too low, so they sent me home.    I did get a bit excited as
the surgeon came in and said well we will just sweeten her up a bit.  He
went out and the anesthiologist or whatever she is came back to say she
refuses to do it.  I said start an IV and give me some glucose.  She
refused.  She wanted the nurse to get me something before I left.  I had put
my jacket on and was about to walk out of the room and the nurse came
running in and handed me a small can.  I took it and walked out and while
walking down the hall I asked my son what was it a can of?  Hee told me diet
Coke.  Now they are all idiots and I don't think I will go there for surgery
for anything.  They all need a lesson in diabetes.  I am sure I wasn't the
first diabetic that has walked in their door for surgery.
