Good.  Your endocrinologist should be able to refer you to someone.  Or go to www.diabetes.org (I think that's the website for the American diabetes Association.  It's been a long time since I've been to their website.)  Their phone number is 800-342-2383 (800-DIABETES)  do you get the diabetes Forecast magazine through the Talking Book library or can you download it from BARD?  I used to read it a lot more when my husband and mother were alive, but haven't listened much lately.  Take care and god bless.

 Right now I don't want any surgery done until I get in pthis  Thursday at 2  PM] to see my endocrinologist and then March 1 go back to my  medical doctor.

 I am back, but will take a few days off.  I went in for  the surgery and my  blood sugar was too low, so they sent me home.  I did get a bit excited as  the surgeon came in and said well we will just sweeten her  up a bit.  He  went out and the anesthiologist or whatever she is came back  to say she  refuses to do it.  I said start an IV and give me some  glucose.  She  refused.  She wanted the nurse to get me something  before I left.  I had put  my jacket on and was about to walk out of the room and the  nurse came  running in and handed me a small can.  I took it and  walked out and while  walking down the hall I asked my son what was it a can  of?  Hee told me diet  Coke.  Now they are all idiots and I don't think I will  go there for surgery  for anything.  They all need a lesson in  diabetes.  I am sure I wasn't the  first diabetic that has walked in their door for surgery.
