Terry,
This is unfortunate for those that do not do phone classes. But this is all our choice; yours to teach via email or not and my choice to take phone or not. I do understand that you enjoy the immediate feedback and social exchange. I enjoy the luxury of choosing the best time for me to complete the project. And I do the projects cause I love to crochet. If there are those that do not do the project and simply file it, the loss is theirs as it will never get done. But why should this bother you?
There is an alternative. Do both a phone class and offer an email class a week or so later. You write out instructions for the phone class anyways and I do think there are a number of people who prefer the phone classes. Then we will all be happy! Ok maybe that is a stretch. But hopefully not too much to hope for?
